Boog Boog was a very special GoodCat with an amazing story. After showing up at our dear friend Gae C.’s house one day, he was run up a very tall pine tree by her neighbor’s dogs. Absolutely nothing could coax him down, and he spent the entire night up the tree as a hurricane blew through the area. Thankfully he was still holding on when the storm cleared up in the morning, but Gae’s calls to the local fire station were continually dismissed. ”We don’t get cats out of trees any longer,” she was told. 4 days later, a desperate ploy by one of her friends finally paid off; a call to the mayor’s Public Relations secretary was what it took to call in the cavalry, and Boog Boog became famous as the fire department and local newspapers rushed to the scene and finally brought him down from his perch. Since he was a stray, Gae was named Boog Boog’s new guardian, and he lived happily from then on with her to the ripe old age of 13.
